FLIGHT SIMULATOR LESSON (donated by Alexa Singer)
One-hour introductory ground flight lesson followed by a 1 hour lesson in a professional pilot flight school’s flight simulator. You will learn some basic aerodynamics, airport and airspace rules, four fundamentals of flight, takeoffs and landings and basic air work. Your training will be provided by a former professional airline pilot who has been flying for over 16 years and has  flown all over the world in a single engine Cessna all the way up to a twin engine jet airliner.  Recommended for adults only.

RIDE TO AND FROM SCHOOL IN A MARBLEHEAD FIRE ENGINE!
Once in a lifetime opportunity to be picked up and taken to school or picked up from school and taken home in a Marblehead fire truck!  Learn the ins and outs of a fireman’s job.

Students from Kindergarten to Grade 3 will get a chance to be Principal for a Day!  The lucky winners will get to ring the school bell, sit at Mr. Satterfield’s desk and handle daily school tasks, make announcements, and manage both Gerry and Coffin schools as they work Mr. Satterfield’s job.   Always a BIG hit with the kids!

Frustrated every morning as you try and find a parking space outside of Gerry or Coffin school?  Search no more!  The highest bidder of the sought-after Gerry Parking Space or Coffin Parking Space will arrive at school relaxed in their personal parking spot.  Always a high-priced item so consider going in with a friend and alternating days!  You won’t regret it on those cold and snowy mornings!

SPECIALIZED BASKET FROM YOUR CHILD’S CLASSROOM

Each class created a specialized classroom basket.  Some baskets include Rainy Day Crafts, Marblehead Basket, Beach Basket, Children’s’ Library etc.  Other “priceless” baskets include hand-made art pieces such as a cookie jar or a platter personally made by your children.  Don’t miss out on these baskets full of treasures!

Coffin Gerry PTO Spring Auction



The annual Coffin Gerry PTO Spring Auction returns this Friday, April 11th.  Always the school community’s largest annual fundraiser, this year promises to be no exception.  Coffin Gerry parents, teachers and friends are invited to “April in Paris” at the Boston Yacht Club starting at 7 pm.   Delicious hors d’ouevres, cash bar, music and the chance to bid on once in a lifetime experiences for you or your children.  This year’s highlights include Principal for the Day, a ride to school in fire truck, a glamorous overnight in a luxury harbor front home, Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots games, season tickets to the North Shore Navigators and much more!  Tickets can be purchased at the door for $40 per person. We hope to see you there!

Oct. 6th Screening of "The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia"


Is your child struggling in school? Have you ever wondered whether he/she could have dyslexia? If so, please come to a FREE screening of "The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia" at the JCC in Marblehead, MA on October 6, 2013 from 5:45-9:00 pm. After the screening, there will be a Q&A session with a panel of experts. "The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia" provides personal and uplifting accounts of the dyslexic experience from children, experts and iconic leaders, such as Sir Richard Branson and financier Charles Schwab.
